ARROWS IN IVORY 2x3'
Inspired by Kalo Dungar (Black Hills), the highest point in Kutch. We love this understated design as you can really see the weave. Designed to look just as good on a wall as the floor.
- Handmade in Kutch, Gujarat, India.
- 24” x 36”
- 100% undyed wool
- Hang on the wall with two nails or tacks.
- Spot clean as needed.
The thick yarn used produces a soft and luxurious medium weight textile that will last 100 years. Father and sons from a sixth generation family of artisans weave these rugs using the traditional kharad weaving technique. Kharad weavers use a basic horizontal loom as it is easy to set up and dismantle, fitting their nomadic lifestyle.
The black and ivory colors are the natural shades of the goat and sheep wool used, 100% undyed and untreated. The miri braid on each end is a finishing technique distinctive of this region and a signature feature of this rug.
Due to the nature of handmade goods, slight variations will occur.
