Inspired by Uttarayan, one of the biggest festivals celebrated in India. The festival of kites marks the day when winter ends and spring begins in the Indian calendar. Uttarayan is our favorite day to spend in Ahmedabad - the whole city is on rooftops flying kites with friends and family. This rug was designed by our weaving partners.

This special weaving technique creates a unique textural pattern on this super soft and lightweight flatweave rug. The navy blue has slight color variations giving the rug a beautiful handmade quality. Father and sons from a seventh generation family of artisans weave these rugs using a traditional pit loom.
Due to the nature of handmade goods, slight variations may occur.
